Has any one who's ever placed an ad on TCA's WTB webpage or in their quarterly periodical been successful locating what you've been looking for? I've been running monthly posts on OGR's WTB forum and scouring ebay twice as week for more than a year looking for an item with no success. Besides this forum, ebay, Craig's List, TRAINZ auctions, giving wish lists to area LHS and attending area train meets, any suggestions on what else I can possibly do to find what I've been looking for? Is posting on TCA's website WTB section or in their periodical worthwhile? What about buying a small classified ad in the back of OGR and CTT magazines? Have any of you been successful doing that? Are there any companies or individuals who find items for a fee?

I know many of you will say the fun is in the search, but now the search is getting old, frustration is setting in and the search is not fun anymore. More fun would be having the items I'm looking for to run and enjoy.

I've only got one item wanted in their magazine. It's been in there for about 3 months with no responses. I've also got it on the LCCA eTrack as well with the same results. I've got a search saved on eBay for it, and haven't seen one for sale since I was outbid on the last one. This item is a ten year old freight car from MTH.

I'll find one eventually, and then I'll have to look for the other road number.

Good luck on your search,

J White

Yes I have been sucessful 4 times using the TCA Exchange Wanted ads.  Sometimes takes a few weeks as people don't necessarliy check it all the time.
