The new EVRR schedule shows 10 steam trips to Roaring Springs, plus an additional "Steam to the Cove" Martinsburg trip in April.
I recommend this outfit for anyone who appreciates a working steam engine, or just wants a fun train trip for friends or family.
2-6-0 #11 gives a performance far beyond its size on the 1.6% grade up to Roaring Springs.

Thanks for posting the brochure. With the amount of pictures I've taken of steam locomotives in PA everywhere BUT the Everett, one would think its about time I switch things up!
I would love to visit this, but it’s a bit far, I live near Allentown and have several train rides closer to me. Jim Thorpe, Bel Del, WK&S, Kutztown, Colebrookdale just rode late December, New Hope, Black River, Strasburg, West Chester, Wilmington and Western. I would love to do the Cove ride since it is longer than their normal rides.

You drove over 4 hours to ride 611 at Manassas, Va. MapQuest list 3 routes to Altoona, one of which doesn't involve tolls. All are around 3.5 hours drive.
An trip to Roaring Spring costs only $19 per adult and includes the ice cream.
Also remember that Horseshoe Curve, the Allegheny Portage RR NPS site, and the Railroaders Museum in Altoona are nearby, making for a full day or extended weekend trip.
