Just wondering about the bridge tiers on this product. The Lionel video from a few years back shows them as a shade of yellow, yet other photos show them as dark grey or black. Any idea what color they are out of the box? Were there two versions of this bridge? I was thinking I could paste 3D printed stone paper on these tiers, but they actually look textured already. Has anyone tried painting them to get rid of the “highly artificial” yellow color?? It looks like the top of the pier under the track would need to be painted as well. Just wondering before I place an order for this. Thanks so much!

I think there are two versions - the Lionel product page has pictures of both, as do many online retailers.
The lighting isn't amazing in my garage (where my layout is) but here are a couple of photos from mine, which has the lighter piers. I would call the color more of a sand or tan than yellow. The tops of the piers are also this color. The surfaces of the individual bricks aren't really textured but the overall surface has texture - you can feel the molded detail of the mortar between the bricks.
It's a great bridge - study, configurable, easy to lift out, and plenty wide enough to get across a walk-in area in a layout. I highly recommend, especially if you're already using Fastrack.

Mike, I really appreciate you taking the time to get a couple of pictures to send! It actually does look a lot better than what I see in the video! I thought it looked like a pretty well thought out truss bridge though, and I’m looking to use it to span 2 sidings on the lower level, not as a walk-through, although it looks like it would be great for that! So, if the actual stones aren’t textured (only the mortar joints in between) I may still be able to apply the 3D paper that I’m referring too. I could probably also just revert to painting it, but would need to be careful with that, because it appears the top of the piers are that color as well. I’m going to proceed with the purchase. Who knows?!? I may like the color enough to leave it alone. It’s just that I have some arches where the upper level of track is sitting right over the top of the lower level, and they have the “stone paper” on them, so I was hoping to be consistent.
Love this bridge as a walk-through. I do wish the ballast color matched the adjacent Fastrack, though, but it could be painted. Here's a video for you. I built the benchwork around the bridge abutments so that the track would be level with the rest of the layout and not raised.

Great idea, Woody! Looks really nice, like it's just part of your table 👍🏻
