Purchased Lionel Powered F3 Legacy B Unit (6-34579) and AA set (6-34573) at York week before last. I have never had a Legacy Powered B unit.  I have assigned the Powered A unit and the Powered B Unit individual I'd #'s. They are running independently of one another with the Cab 2 controller but when I hook them up together they are not in sinc. Do you sinc them by creating a lash - up? I have ever done this but may be able to with owners manual. Manual says #1 to create a lash-up address the train # you wish to create. Not sure what this means. Do you press TR then just make up a number for that particular lash-up (train I'd #) then press info followed by pressing BUILD then enter first engine#,etc.?

Thanks for your help, Bobby!

What you wrote in your initial post appears to be correct for building a "Train". If you need further info, it is included in the owners manual.

One statement you made brings up a caveat; - you say they are not in sync when running separately. Any Legacy diesels should run very close by themselves. You should be aware that the production run of F units your diesels came from were plagued with over-sized traction tires that rub on the side-frame brake shoes. Please check your units before running too much to be sure they are not rubbing as it will affect their smooth running capabilities. MTH tires are a good replacement for these tires if you find they are rubbing.

Sounds like you have assigned the A unit Engine #5, and the B unit Engine #6 and they do not move in sync as when they were both Engine #1 correct?  If so they are not hooked together (aka "lash-up") in the remote as a train #, say TR#7, and they won't run together.

If you are saying they are in as a "TR" train and run at different speeds, that's another issue.
