Hi Folks! I am in the process of creating an operations oriented layout based on the Gold Mine layout in one of Kalmbach's books. The picture shows the current status of the layout. The red switcher is the delivering loco and the blue switcher is the local for the layout. I am looking for ideas on where and how to mark the locations for the uncoupling tracks installed. Also, the isolated block I have where I park the local switcher when the road switcher arrives with the empties from the future extension layout. This portion is the "supply" side while the future extension will be the "consumer" side. So, what I am looking for is visible markers for the loco engineers so they know where to stop and start for coupling and uncoupling and where to "park" the local switcher when the road switcher arrives.
