Fastrack 1 3/8" has a black wire underneath, also the center rail is divided. There is a reason but I don't know what it is. My use for the section was to fill a small gap.
I have also used these on sidings. A slick way to do this is to get a small toggle switch and drill a hole to mount it in the "ballast. Cut the jumper in two and connect the ends to the switch. No fuss, no muss power isolation for your siding.
