I had a Bachmann coaling tower and remembered someone of the forum saying there was a detail kit available for the tower. I asked about it here and Roger Wasson sent me one. No charge. I just want to thank Roger publicly for the kit. When he and his wife come to the islands I will buy him the biggest Mai Tai I can find. Thanks again Roger. Don

And I want to thank you very much for the book you sent to me, Don! It's not a train book, but was written by/about a colleague of mine from my newspaper days in Hawaii...a fellow who rubbed elbows with just about every popular personality you could think of ranging from Sinatra to Elvis and everyone in between (those two come immediately to mind because I also had a chance to meet both).
Lots of nice folks on this forum!
That looks great!!! nice job!
Looks Great Don....better than I would do.
Don...you did a great job!! AND...you already know what I have known for quite a while now: Roger is a really great guy! He is generous, helpful, and a first class ambassador of our hobby. Best of all, I am lucky enough to say he is my friend...and I live closer to him than you do!! HA!! (had to get that one in there!!)

Don,
Nice job! I particularly like the weathering. I'm not real familar with the particular coaling tower, what additional parts came with the detail kit?
Allen, I agree with you, there are a lot of nice folks on the forum! Bo

What's that old saying about "making silk from a sow's ear"? That aptly describes Don's modeling.
