It's been a 'Santa Fe sort of week' so far with our birthday PA's and today our first scale Santa Fe F unit (an Atlas F2) arrived from a forum member in VA - thanks Mark!
Careful observers will undoubtedly notice that the B unit is but a common Lionel postwar model and as such is slightly too small but will have to do until we can requisition some additional scale cab units.
This is our first Atlas powered diesel and we're impressed. Great sounds & smoke plus smooth operation. I really like the extra pilot with the scale-sized coupler that I'll change out for soon.
What a handsome beast!
We have also acquired a Lionel U28 in Warbonnet scheme arriving after the weekend so we'll have to have a SF Family portrait next week
