My Southern FM with an LCRU installed is working perfectly. I typically run in "transitional command mode with my CAB1 set to M rather than L. This allows me to run both TMCC and conventional engines on the same track with the only limitation being that the speed of the TMCC unit is limited by the voltage from the conventional throttle. Another reason I like this mode is that my conventional horns and whistles respond to the CAB1. There is a problem with my FM. It is equipped with a solid state horn/bell system by an unknown
supplier which works fine with the TPC running in conventional mode. I have found that when I address the engine to control TMCC functions, the sound system stops responding. I am not setting the TPC to L (TMCC)voltage, but no sounds. The sound board has connections to its' speaker, a hot and ground connection.
The hot is ganged with the two pickup roller leads and the pink (power) lead from the LCRU. Don't understand why running in command keeps the conventional sound board from triggering. Any ideas?
