DCS signal travels through the track, not "in the air" like a radio signal to the engines, so foil lining your tunnels should not have any effect. The signal from the remote goes to the TIU, so unless that is obscured by foil, I wouldn't see how it would cause any interference?

Thanks Elliot! No TMCC or Legacy engines here. Either DCS or Conventional! I am glad I asked, cause it would have sucked having to tear all the foil back out! LOL
Do be aware that if you have a mountain with foil or chickenwire, the remote-TIU signal may not go through the mountain. But, as noted above, the TIU-loco signal will not be affected.
Please forgive what might be a dumb question. But if the foil neither improves nor blocks the DCS signal, and you're not running TMCC / Legacy, then what's the foil for? i.e., why are you doing it?
