The train set is going to a young boy named Aiden. I'll post a video after Christmas of him receiving it and playing with it.

Bob - Really sorry I missed this thread. I'm a few miles north of you in North Royalton. I'm just now pulling my stuff out of storage and know I have some things I could donate next year.

I've got oodles of 1121 switches and O27 curves since switching to 42s and 54s. Probably a few pieces of rolling stock and maybe a transformer. 

I'll make a note to connect with you next year.  

I have received the packages from Nick. I was overwhelmed by the size and weight of what was sent. I am in communication with the family and setting up all of the details. I'll keep everyone posted.

Worked great! Thanks for sharing that. I can't wait to show my son when he gets up in the morning. I had him pick out cars to give to the cause. When we dropped them off with Nick, Henry was sad that he didn't get to meet the little boy they were going to. Now he can see. :-)

Thanks for sharing the video this was so great to be a part of please keep me in mind next year as I have plenty I can deal with to help this being done. What a great thing you guys did glad to be a part of.

I've decided being a charter member of the Train Guys group is a very prestigious honor. Kind of gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling (and I'm not a warm and fuzzy type person).

I might not be around but this boy.Might when he becomes a man.He might gather trains for some family who has a child.Who likes trains heck might become some thing big.I am sorry I missed the boat this time.He was so happy and beaming this shows that  their is still good people in this world.

I know we are only 4 months into the year but I already have items for this Christmas if you all want to do it again. But lets see if we can find more than one family. I think we could do it easily. I have lot better item already for this year.  

Bill - Count me in!  I'd love to be part of "The Train Guys" holiday giving spirit 2016!!  I have some buildings and cars. Its never too early to think of making some kid happy!   My e mail is in my profile.

I've got a few cars we can add to the stockpile, and know that there is a family in my neighborhood that has a son that loves trains. Costs and quality keep deterring them from new ones.

Yes, I'm in too. I agree we should look for several families this year. I'll try to work with a wider range of contacts I have to see how we can broaden the search.

Okay guys Tuesday is November 1 think if we are going to do this again this year we need someone to find a child that would really benefit from this. I'm not really in a area known for trains as a hobby. But if anyone has or knows of a child I'm willing to help out the best I can.

I've got a #125 whistle shed that I bought on Da Bay (for no particular reason other than it was $1) that I've now restored to working order that I would be willing to add to the cause.
