I own a K-Line Pennsylvania K4 unfortunately with a fried motor drive board w/cruise control.  I located that part on Lionel's website, part number 691-MMDK-090.

I need help identifying the Lionel part numbers of four Molex connectors that received damaged during the meltdown and need replaced.  I don't believe there is a parts list for this engine available on the internet.   Not sure if I have to purchase the Molex plug and wires separately, or they can be purchased as one package.

There is a female white molex connector with two black wires attached to the cruise on/off switch.  This plugs into the drive board.  It appears the receptacle that mounts on the board was melted on to the plug.

The next cable has three black/red/green wires with two three pin Molex connectors at both ends.  One end plugs into the optical sensor beneath the flywheel, the other end plugs into the cruise control board.  This one end is so badly melted, I am unable to remove the molex from the damaged board.  Is there a replacement available?

There is a four pin Molex Connector that plugs into the board, but only two wires are connected two it.  Not exactly sure where these wires land at on the engine.

The final plug is a four-pin Molex connector that plugs into the drive board as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 3 wire harness actually has different connectors on each end, these are not Molex, only the 4 pin for the motor and AC input (Black).

With that much damage, I believe your also going to find that the motor tach board is damaged too.

I just repaired a similar K-Line engine, and after replacing the Cruise board, the engine still did not have full speed control.  Had to switch to the Cruise M board which eliminates the need for a tach board, but you do need a 4 pin motor PWM harness.   G

Let's put it this way.  The JST connectors I mentioned are an EXACT replacement for the Lionel 2.54mm and 2mm connectors.  They use the same pins and fit the same receptacles.  Yes I know that Lionel actually uses a different brand, but since they're impossible to get, the JST ones are a 100% compatible replacement.

I agree, the black four conductor one is a Molex connector, #0430250400.

Lionel16,

I have a K-Line version 3.0 MDB and all the connectors.  Pay shipping and it's yours.  I got it when it was removed from an engine and as far as I know was working prior to being removed.  I also have NIB ELECTRONICS ONLY upgrade kit if interested.  Email in profile.

Very excited to learn about Digi-Key. I have a K-Line A-B-A with a broken connector between the lead A & B units. I don't see "JST" connectors on their web site. Any suggestions for what I am looking for in Digi-Key numbering system?

K-Line had 2 sizes of connectors. I have the smaller one, but either size would be acceptable.
