Fried Board in K-Line Pennsy K4 Command w/cruise

I have the 691-mmdk-090 motor board. I should have all the connectors & wires.

Look on the back of your board and see what the VER number is.

Yes, the number printed on the board is "MDK-090, rev. 0."  Please let me know how I can purchase the connectors?

Those connectors are all JST connectors, I see 2.54mm and 2.0mm connectors.  The 2.54mm connectors the the JST EH family, the 2.0mm connectors are the JST PH family.  All of them are available on Digikey, and shipping is very cheap on small orders.

The 3 wire harness actually has different connectors on each end, these are not Molex, only the 4 pin for the motor and AC input (Black).

With that much damage, I believe your also going to find that the motor tach board is damaged too.

I just repaired a similar K-Line engine, and after replacing the Cruise board, the engine still did not have full speed control.  Had to switch to the Cruise M board which eliminates the need for a tach board, but you do need a 4 pin motor PWM harness.   G

Actually they are not, but JST is a generic connector and so versions are available, and the black is a MOLEX.

But I was talking to Lionel 16 so that he recognized that the 3 wire tach has two different styles of connectors on it.  Just in case he missed it.  G

Let's put it this way.  The JST connectors I mentioned are an EXACT replacement for the Lionel 2.54mm and 2mm connectors.  They use the same pins and fit the same receptacles.  Yes I know that Lionel actually uses a different brand, but since they're impossible to get, the JST ones are a 100% compatible replacement.

I agree, the black four conductor one is a Molex connector, #0430250400.

I have a K-Line version 3.0 MDB and all the connectors.  Pay shipping and it's yours.  I got it when it was removed from an engine and as far as I know was working prior to being removed.  I also have NIB ELECTRONICS ONLY upgrade kit if interested.  Email in profile.

Very excited to learn about Digi-Key. I have a K-Line A-B-A with a broken connector between the lead A & B units. I don't see "JST" connectors on their web site. Any suggestions for what I am looking for in Digi-Key numbering system?

K-Line had 2 sizes of connectors. I have the smaller one, but either size would be acceptable.

        Thanks for the feedback.  Glad to know there are replacements available for Molex connectors at Digi-Key.  I will let you know when I get the item repaired.

Actually, the white 2.54mm and 2mm connectors are Leoco connectors, but the JST ones are an exact replacement and what I use.

The black connectors are indeed 3mm contact spacing Molex connectors, #0430250400.
