Some red-white- and blue to honor our Veterans on this Veterans Day.
Thanks to all who served.

Thank you, Bob, for honoring Veterans Day. I'll continue this Red, White and Blue theme with an Amtrak F40DC Genesis, Phase 3 unit. I am a Veteran as was my Brother, Father, and Grandfather.
high and tight
a little different kind of front end. this is a metal lighted train that was a gift from my sister a mere 3 months before she unexpectedly passed away. I try to find a way to put it on th elayout each year.

Patrick, great scene! Is the photographer shooting a Nikon....?
I've shared the Midnight Chief picture in earlier dates on this thread. However, FEF has prompted me to pull the Chief off the shelves and give it a run. This was one of my earlier searches for passenger trains. K-Line offered this in the 2005 Catalog 1st Editon K-25303TC at $699.95. It was sold out and the only way to acquire it was to search eBay and Google search engines. I did that for several years and fortunately purchased most of the units.
For its time it is an extraordinary set. I have since collected newer Passenger sets and run them all the time. But today I pulled out the Midnight Chief and let her rip. Beautiful engine with lots of detail, super lighting, gorgeous paint and nice engine noise and whistle. Yes, the new units are more realistic, but the Midnight Chief will always be my favorite passenger train
Wow, FEF Friday’s roll around faster and faster and todays a great day. There’s lots of beautiful steamers and diesels pictured here today, it’s nice to see RSJB18 Bob show his patriotic diesel Spirit of 1976 on his really cool layout. Also there’s some nice videos here today. I’ve been away do to the yard, test, leaves, clean up is fun but time consuming. I actually love yard work. Happy Veterans Day to those here on the forum, both men and women, Your great and brave folks…. Happy Railroading Everyone
Have a good FeF all, God Speed to all our Veterans! Bridge out!
Sitka, great layout scene...there's nothing better than a Pennsy Tuscan diesel on the line...seeing them here reminds me I need to run my Pennsy PA's...
