Guys, I am putting this message below my train pic for today so that the monitors don't get too upset.  However, I did not know how to address all my "Forum Friends" otherwise.  Dallas Joe, Coach joe, Lee Drennan, Sitka, leapinlarry, many others I want to thank you for your prayers and well wishes for my wife, it made the last months easier and her life better.  I am sorry to report that this morning she lost that battle with cancer and went home to God.  Thank you all for everything.

Best Wishes

Don

Wow Don........ I know no words  .   Prayers and God bless sir.

Don, I am so sorry to hear this about your wife. Sadly, I too lost my wife of 62 years at 9:00 this morning after a nearly year long major medical problem and a lifetime of chronic pain. My prayers and deep sympathy for you and your family.

Prayers and good wishes today Jerry.    A blessing for you 62 years even with the lifetime of chronic pain.

Anne passed in 2012 after 6 years of battle.........the whole time I feel  they are angels......   God bless sir.

Don/Jerry , so sorry to hear your news  ... There is little us forum friends can do that will ease your pain , but we are with you and your families are all in our thoughts ... Please take the time to care for yourselves , because I get the impression from both of you over the years that you are more used to caring for others , sometimes when you are like that is is a hard thing to allow the caring to flow in the other direction . I feel you both would have exhibited enormous strength battling that mongrel that afflicted your loved ones , and that strength will carry you through the dark days to come , rely on the light of the people around you to pull you from the darkness left on your soul at your partners passing .

Grief is for the living , the departed have left their pain as a reminder of their love for you .... They know you are strong enough to carry it for a little while , but they also want you to eventually cast it aside and return to the caring person they loved .

Thank you again, best wishes

Interesting, Bob.  There is only one stadium that all of # 7 trains go to on my layout and that's Shea Stadium for the Mets. We're good hanging out in our late 60s to early 2000s bubble.

I still call the new place Shea Stadium...... Did you know they marked out the old infield in the parking lot? You can walk up and stand at home plate....pretty cool.
