Well Said Bob. Please Moderators let us have a small bit of the thread for condolences for these men.
Prayers out to Don, Jerry, your wives, and families. My deepest condolences to you both. So sorry to hear this.
Thank you all. Your comments, thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated. What a fine group of people you are!
Don, Jerry:
I am so sorry for your losses. You have many people here who are praying for you both. My sincere sympathy for you both in this time of loss. God bless.
Don/Jerry , so sorry to hear your news ... There is little us forum friends can do that will ease your pain , but we are with you and your families are all in our thoughts ... Please take the time to care for yourselves , because I get the impression from both of you over the years that you are more used to caring for others , sometimes when you are like that is is a hard thing to allow the caring to flow in the other direction . I feel you both would have exhibited enormous strength battling that mongrel that afflicted your loved ones , and that strength will carry you through the dark days to come , rely on the light of the people around you to pull you from the darkness left on your soul at your partners passing .
Grief is for the living , the departed have left their pain as a reminder of their love for you .... They know you are strong enough to carry it for a little while , but they also want you to eventually cast it aside and return to the caring person they loved .
Don and Jerry. My condolences and strength to you both from far away in Finland.

Interesting, Bob. There is only one stadium that all of # 7 trains go to on my layout and that's Shea Stadium for the Mets. We're good hanging out in our late 60s to early 2000s bubble.

I still call the new place Shea Stadium...... Did you know they marked out the old infield in the parking lot? You can walk up and stand at home plate....pretty cool.
