Here is the "Front End Friday" view .  By the way, somewhat unusual, this little gal came complete with key that someone had thoughtfully tied to the cab.  It works fine despite its age.

Here she is pulling her HWN coaches out of the yard and onto the main.

"And Away She goes!"  moving her train up the main line.

GP35's switching out grain cars.

I unboxed my Dad's Lionel 385E Standard Gauge loco and tender today. My dad has long since departed this world, but I believe he stated he got this in a passenger car set along with a bunch of accessories for his 5th birthday in 1934. It had been packed away four decades or more, so I wasn't sure what I was going to find. The cast tender is disintegrating and beyond repair, so I'll be looking for a replacement. The loco seems pretty good though and I'm going to go through and tweaking it to get it operational. It's a brute, can't wait to give it a run.

Great photo.  Schedule shows it was in Winchester on Oct 7, 1948.  I'm trying to recreate when it was in Harrisburg, PA, on Nov 16, 1947, at the same time the Friendship Train was there pulled by Pennsy Centipedes.

Well F.E.F. fans I'm sorry that I missed the day .  I wanted to thank everyone who has passed on good thoughts and well wishes and prayers for my wife...She is still fighting but cancer is tough!  Your prayers are most appreciated and bring me joy.  Thank's everyone.

So what about F.E.F. ?   Well I picked a front end with a face only a mother could love.  This is the Marx M10000 articulated stream liner from 1936-37.  She was a queen of her day although she sure looks dated today.

Thanks Bob, I like that angle also, but you would freak if you seen the rest of that side of the layout! LOL I have to run them around to see what it looks like coming from the other direction towards the bridge!

Here's my contribution. The models were shot on the Golden Gate Lionel RR Club layout at the Hiller Air Museum in San Carlos CA. The E5 was shot at the Illinois Railroad Museum in the late 1990's.

Guys, I am putting this message below my train pic for today so that the monitors don't get too upset.  However, I did not know how to address all my "Forum Friends" otherwise.  Dallas Joe, Coach joe, Lee Drennan, Sitka, leapinlarry, many others I want to thank you for your prayers and well wishes for my wife, it made the last months easier and her life better.  I am sorry to report that this morning she lost that battle with cancer and went home to God.  Thank you all for everything.
