Happy FEF Everyone!
Here is a Lionel F40PH Panama Canal Railway, a METCA exclusive; on the point of an auto train, including a load of U. S. Army Jeeps. Running in unfamiliar territory; so has a PRR Road Foreman on board, hence the PRR caboose.

Did you post a cloaked engine? I don’t see it.
A Milwaukee Road Hudson Atlantic in Hiawatha dress somewhere up in the North Woods. For a short time the Milwaukee Road ran the Northwoods Hiawatha passenger service through Minocqua Wi, with the end of the line in Star Lake, Wi. visit Friends of Star Lake for more info on the area and its railroad history.
This engine is a Weaver Brass with ProtoSound 1.
Late night FEF entries before midnight.
Some front/rears that I took on my trip to Los Angeles earlier this week:
Metrolink Hyundai Rotem Cab Car #695 at the Anaheim station on Wednesday morning...
...that was pulling the consist pushed by the EMDF125 #932 to LA Union Station
Los Angeles Metro Rail Breda A650 on the D (Purple Line) at Union Station
Then on the return from Downtown LA to Anaheim, Metrolink EMD F125 #910 leading the way at Anaheim station...
...brought up in the rear by Hyundai Rotem Cab Car #686 as it headed south.

My wife bought a Railking Dreyfuss hudson last week because it reminded her of the robot from Metropolis. Great engine and she got the cars for it too.
Have a good Front End Friday, God Bless America! Buy a Vet a Brew
My front-end views for this Friday show Lionel Legacy model (2231120) of New York Central 2-8-0 Consolidation #960 on my 12’-by-8’ layout.
The real New York Central #960 was a class G-6i locomotive built for subsidiary Michigan Central as #7812 by Alco (Brooks Works) in June 1909 and scrapped as NYC #1195 in 1954. Unfortunately, the prototype of Lionel’s model was not that engine but actually was a Southern Pacific Harriman Consolidation that burned oil and had a Vanderbilt tender. I try to avoid buying non-prototypical models but this one is quite good looking in my opinion, so I bought it anyway…

A night and day shot on one of my Christmas layouts. That waltburg sign was a gift from my nephew. the house is a model of my parents' house that I made.

Happy Front End Friday all! This week on the layout I have been running some modern tinplate. My only Southern locomotive is this green and gray 263e by MTH.
Also by MTH is my 1694e in blue and silver.
Here they are running on the mainlines.

The video won't play Ken.
OK for my F.E.F. I have decided to show a video of my new (to me) Lionel #247 Columbia steamer pulling a short freight. I admit that she is marked as B&O and she is pulling a SR caboose, but that is because I don't have a B&O caboose (yet!). I was really pleased given that I just purchased her a few weeks ago without much of any chance to test her out. She runs beautifully and her direction control (forward-reverse) works fine. So here is a video of her working a short train.
Best Wishes Don
Happy FeF! Here’s the front end of an R12 leading a mixed train on the elevated subway line while the front end of our Mets train gets ready to visit the padres or dodgers -
Prayers and well wishes to all those dealing with the aftermath of hurricanes Helene and Milton. We were spared the worst down here in SE Florida but still caught some tropical storm winds/tornados, which downed a few trees and caused other minor damage in our area. Nothing like those up north from us are dealing with.
My Friday afternoon entries are photos that I took this afternoon in Manhattan.
First, at the New York Subway Bleeker Street station in the Lower East Side.
A little blurry as the #6 Northbound local comes into the station as a #2 Northbound express overtakes it.
Next, at Grand Central Terminal are two Metro North Cab Cars on Tracks 31 and 32.
Continuing my tour of Grand Central, here is a Metro North New Haven Line M8 on Track 103A.
Hey, @Amfleet25124 , nice pics! Bring me back a hot knish or a slice from john’s on bleeker!
Short video of my 3rd Rail F3 ABA, all engine powered/sound.

Will do 😃.
My wife wanted to go to Katz Deli, but when we got there the line was a mile long. So we ate something else, not a knish, but pizza LOL
Once again, it's been awhile since I posted front end Friday, and actually it's 12:02am Saturday morning!!! Here's a Southern Pacific Mogel 2-6-0 getting ready to set out and pickup a small consist. Southern Pacific Peninsula Commute in the background getting ready to pullout of the passenger station.
Happy Friday and have a great weekend!!
With the news of the FWHS picking up the restoration effort for the NYC Mohawk 3001, here is a MTH RailKing model of the 3001. Have a great weekend everyone!
from K-line years ago. they were fun to run. The police speeder had a spring on the front so that when it rammed the getaway speeder it sprung it forward.

When we had our shop back in the early to mid 1990s we were a MTH dealer. If memory serves me, the Mohawk was their first RK die cast steamer and later came the RK Hudson. Both were amazing values with overwhelming smoke and good sound as well as being very powerful pullers. MTH really is responsible for causing Lionel to tighten their game and begin to expand their model production for the best!
