Couple of photos that I took of Amtrak Silvers P42s heading northbound from Florida.
First, a consist led by #2 and #119 blasting through the Cypress Creek Tri-Rail station (not an Amtrak stop) on May 17, 2012
And then #58 at Winter Haven on Thanksgiving weekend 2016
I took this pic in Virginia City, Montana (the other one, also a gold mining ghost town):
If you look carefully you can see people sitting on the front edge of the tender immediately behind the cab. That is where we rode as well. You get to watch the Engineer and Fireman plying their trade .
This train, owned and operated by the state, is no longer in operation
NYS&W Alco C430 #3004 at Little Ferry, NJ- Dec. 86'. On 02/03/87 this engine hit an ice packed crossing in upstate NY, flipped over and was wrecked ending its' career that began with the New York Central. Sister engine #3002 suffered a similar fate a few months later.

NYS&W Alco C430 #3000 and NYS&W F45 #6370 share the garden tracks at the Little Ferry roundhouse on a cold night in January 1987.
