Resurrected this from an old negative I found in a box from the olden days.  I had to trick my scanner into thinking it was 35mm film instead of the old 126 film.  Sorry for the poor quality, but it outside of the front end of a U28B, it also shows NYC run through power on the CB&Q at the edge of Berwyn, IL.

Great photo blurry or not.

I took this pic in Virginia City, Montana (the other one, also a gold mining ghost town):

If you look carefully you can see people sitting on the front edge of the tender immediately behind the cab. That is where we rode as well. You get to watch the Engineer and Fireman plying their trade .

This train, owned and operated by the state, is no longer in operation

NYS&W Alco C430 #3004 at Little Ferry, NJ- Dec. 86'. On 02/03/87 this engine hit an ice packed crossing in upstate NY, flipped over and was wrecked ending its' career that began with the New York Central. Sister engine #3002 suffered a similar fate a few months later.
