For FEF I always like a good front end photo.  Since we had that PRR Shark topic earlier, thought I'd show my Shark.

While I argued that the body and other details make this Lionel a (mostly) PRR BF15, from the front it is all BF16.  It has the 3 chime horn, sand filler caps on the pilot, and the large nose door.  I plan to remove that horn and replace it with the BF15's single chime horn, and remove the sand filler caps.  Unfortunately, not much I can do about that door without some reconstruction beyond my capabilities.

And yes, the ladder (engineer side) that was added in 1960 will come off.

Although I rode the Yampa Mail in '63 and '64 Dad took this pic in '66 and I wasn't there. That dome was from the Royal Gorge consist which was truncated in '65 and the dome was moved to the Yampa Mail consist.
