Coach Joe - It's a MTH Railking same as yours.
Good morning, a early in the season drop in temperature has coated the landscape with snow but has also frozen the water on the fill spout as I1 4248 and M1 6715 pull in to fill their tenders after dropping off a string of empty coal hoppers.
The firemen and rear brakeman of the I1 are looking to see what's frozen while the fireman from the M1 does routine checks of the drive rods.
Happy front end Friday !!!
"Front End" becomes a bit ambiguous with end-cab diesels, doesn't it?
Actually, with diesels more generally. EMD offered SW1500s with two sets of controls making the term pretty much irrelevant
happy "F E F" hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving !!

From some of my travels this year...
On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Nickel Plate Road no. 765 heads into Akron on a calm day.
On Sunday, October 13, 2019, Norfolk and Western no. 611 puts on a grand show as she accelerates out of Groundhog Cut.
A sugar beet-hauling Decapod from Colorado alongside one of the finest 4-8-4's ever built, all happening in Lancaster County, PA in the 21st century. Who would've expected this to happen?
On Saturday, November 16, 2019, Pere Marquette no. 1225 puts on a show as she makes her way out of Owosso.
Engineer Barney Gramling leads the 1225 through the small town of Carland.
An American soldier lights his pipe one last time before heading overseas. Perhaps the war will be over by Christmas.
Nice, Lee!

Dents Run RR Heisler locomotive, taken by Dad c. 1935. I've walked on the right-of-way, long since grown up in woods. The Flood of '36 put an end to this coal-hauling shortline.
Me taking a pic of Dad taking a pic of the front-end of B&P #3000. Allegheny River in the background. Shawmut RR and the diverging track in the foreground is the interchange with B&P nee B&O nee BR&P at Mosgrove.
Old&new. Brand new MTH SW1500 and a Lionel No 282 Portal Gantry Crane which is at least 64 years old.
