Are you asking as in "looking to buy"? If so, I will be posting mine in my next for-sale listing. Still mint in original box.
I'd suggest looking online for pics/videos. At one time, GGD had a video on their website, but not sure if it's still there.

I have it too, out of the boxes. Note that this set was sold as a 3rd Rail, not GGD, product because of having the engine as part of 3rd Rail's E series. It's a superb set. I don't have my own photos to hand but this ought to help you see what it's like:
This is 3rd Rail's own video David refers to above:

This is someone else's video showing the set running indoors and out:

Finally, I attach 3rd Rail's own .PDF flyer, which as far as I can tell shows an O scale production sample. This is an accurate representation of what the set looks like.

David. I sent you an email.
Very cool.

about half way down the page are a few close up photos I posted.
David...I sent you an email that's provided in your profile.
A very nice train, (After all the excitement on the OGR Forum to get it built all of that dried up like a river in southern California. Have only seen one running, the others still in their boxes.) too bad.

Or,,,,,,,,,maybe many of the people that own, and operate, one of the sets, either 3-Rail or 2-Rail, simply don't post on forums.

I was referring to those I know who purchased them. 2 have been sold at below purchase cost last year
I have one and I run it--- wouldn't sell it for twice what I paid.

One of my favorite trains. I wont sell mine either.
I have one of these sets as well. Only out of the box to inspect it and then back in the box as I can't run it on my current layout. I had planned on rebuilding the layout this year, but we are now planning on selling our house in the Summer and I will be tearing down the new bench work. Looks like it will sit in the box until the Fall when we are in the new apartment/ townhouse and I will be getting some Fastrack for a carpet layout.
While I am keeping my set, there are some minor issues on my passenger cars that I do not see on my other 3rd Rail set (The Columbian). First, the plastic glass in one of the dome cars is not properly seated. Secondly, there is a slight gap in the way the domes fit the bodies on a couple of my passenger cars. I will someday fix these issues when I have the time.
While I would rather have the set, even with a couple of minor flaws, you may want to check this on any set that you may decide to buy.

I bought the UP version-the passenger cars are beautiful, the "stars" of this set!
The locomotive is top notch-you'll never own another "China drive" after experiencing the horizontal drive system.
Thank you 3rd Rail for a great value and unique set!
What is the original purchase price?

Thought the original price was $1550.00 + shipping (two boxes)
