Did anyone attend Goose Fest this past weekend? If so will you please post photos, videos, etc. I was chasing the 630 out of Spencer but would liked to have been in Golden. Thanks in advance.

http://rradventures.wordpress.com/ they have some pretty good pictures here of the event
Youtube has some great videos of the event.
The weekend was hot but we had a beer tent and a FREE Snapple truck !
Glad to see folks found my RRAdventures blog and I got some photos posted of Day #3 now too.
Here you go. Enjoy
Sunday the RMD TCA's Rocky mountain Toy Train Show at the Forney Museum was first then I headed west 10 Miles to Golden Colorado and the Colorado Railroad Museum's Goose Fest. This was the first time since the shutdown of the Rio Grande Southern Railroad that 6 of 7 Galloping Geese were back together running in Colorado.

Most of the museum is outdoors and at 1 pm it was a dry 97 degrees. Admission was $15 but included unlimited rides on the larger Geese. We waited about 20 minutes to ride Goose #4. While we were waiting a replica of Goose #1 and # 6 were parked nearby. #1 had overheated while #6 was ready to go. Seemed kind of ironic that the original Geese were running fine yet the reproduction was overheated - it looked cool though
Goose #6 has a Buick body and is owned by the Colorado RR Museum. The real #1 was scrapped in the 1930's. Parts from #1 were used to build #6. Goose #1 shown here is a replica built for the Ridgeway Railroad museum
We got a cab ride in Goose 4 which has a Wayne bus body with standard school bus type folding doors on both sides. The ride was surprisingly smooth on the well maintained museum loop. Goose 4 is owned by the Ridgeway Railroad Museum.
Goose #2 owned by the Colorado RR Museum with it's original Pierce Arrow body
Goose #5 with its Wayne bus body and original Pierce Arrow hood. Owned by Galloping Goose Historical Society in Dolores CO.
Goose #7 Owned by the Colorado RR Museum with the original Pierce Arrow Body.
Number 4 again
Recent addition to the Colorado Railroad Museum a 2-8-0 Colorado North Western #30 (also Colorado Central, Rio Grande Southern #74) rescued and cosmetically restored from a park in Boulder Colorado.

All together a great fathers day!
Currently I don't have any of the video I took but here is a video I took in 2010 which includes a Cab Ride of #6
What about Goose No. 3??
At the 11th hour Knot's pulled out of the event
Thanks--just saw that on the other thread. Too bad.
