The hand off went pretty well-aside from about 30 minutes delay getting power in the track. I bought one of the low end MTH transformers on the advice of my fave mail order house and finally concluding the cord was bad went to a spare I had brought. Finally got her running but he took it upstairs checked with him this morning and it’s not running. I’ll try to send my train savvy other grandson (8) up the steep 1920’s stairs. . I could wish for a more user friendly electrical hookup not as fiddly as those MTH posts. After I’d gone to the car (i’m presently on a dang walker) grandma, my wife, reported he carried the entire oval fully assembled (which could not have helped) up the stairs. His dad is not train savvy I remember how easy those old Lionel A U posts were when I was a kid. Hate that it’s not running for him.
(William in the blue is my experienced O operator 8 years old has 4 locos. Danny in the gray hoodie is my 12 year old new Ukrainian grandson).
Thanks to Brian O for the gift of the circle of Fastrak!
