Andy is always the man with the camera!  I thought it was a good show, Jim.  The July show before Covid hit was a little sparse on vendors; there may have been another show the same weekend that pulled some away.  I was there yesterday, and as Andy's photographs showed, there were lots of vendors.  There were lots of visitors as well; not as many as a November show, but a good turnout for July.  Of course, everyone has been itching to go to a train show, so that obviously came into play.

Andy, I missed seeing a lot of club members yesterday, who made it today (assuming the last photographs were from today)  Of course I know Thom was at the Pittsburgh Grand Prix with his 'Vette.  I was glad to see you, Dave, and Nick!!  Maybe I can get down to the Elizabeth Fire Dept show.  If not, I hope to see you at York!!!  Also, it was good to learn more about modular layouts in general!!

Mark, thanks for checking in. Did you get any good deals?

Jim, your welcome.  I bought a new DCS AIU for the going price.  I saw some nice deals, but they were all on things I wasn’t interested in.  It was just good to get out.

Mark, were there any dealers from outside our area?

Jim, I saw one from Columbus, but I can’t recall the name.  I can’t think of any others.  A lot were familiar to me.  Andy may know better.

There were some new vendors there that had never done Monroeville before.  I and some others in my club bought some Corgi trucks from one of them - a gentleman from Delaware.  Personally, I also picked up a couple of die cast K-Line freight cars at a really good price.

Some of the dealers I talked to said they had a good show, some said it was just OK, and some said it was slow.  There was a steady stream of people around the layouts for most of the day both days, and the show seemed well attended for a July show that was competing with good weather and other big draw events like the Vintage Grand Prix that was going on downtown.

We got to see and talk to a lot of our old friends, and we got to talk to a lot of new people as well.  The only July show that I remember being busier was the one that was held when the LOTS convention was in town.
