I have a DCS layout using 4 channels on one TIU. Each pair of channels is powered by one Lionel 180W powerhouse brick. There is one Lionel 1033 that powers my switches and uncouplers. The three transformers have been checked for correct phase synchronization. The layout uses Lionel Fastrack.
Although the there is a wire terminal on the switches for both "Aux in" and "Aux grd" I am only connecting a wire to the "Aux in" terminal. I have had no problems so far sharing the common ground with the track. (there are about 30 switches connected to the 1033 so far.
My question is, should I connect the two 180 brick transformer ground terminals to the 1033 ground terminal?
I would have to connect a ground wire to the 4 black input terminals on the TIU and to the 1033 ground terminal (and any other transformers that I may use in the future).
Thanks for your input: Joe K
