John we just read Burl’s thread about upgrades to this engine. I don’t want to barge into someone’s thread but it has caused questions on an engine that we have.
We purchased this engine and a set of passenger cars new when they were released and put them on the shelf intending to use them “One day when we have a layout,” something that has taken place. But the engine is still on the shelf and is now old and not run and needs to be brought up to date if it is going to work on the layout.
We didn’t realize that it is almost scale; if it is, then we need to get it upgraded.
Can you advise us who can handle the upgrade that is outlined in the other thread. If you can do it, great.
