My DOA Williams Cab Forward got a new QSI DCRU-WS installed to get her moving.

And after I installed it per the QSI instructions she did move....but only in reverse!!!

The QSI DCRU cycles through the sequence of F-N-R-N-F but the loco only moves when the unit is in reverse....and I confirmed it's reverse as the DCRU does activate the back-up light when it moves.

This is on my test bench. Lionel tubular track. I have both a Lionel CW-80 pack and a MTH Z-750 on my bench.

Both yeild the same  results.  I have checked all wire connectivity, DCRU is grounded with supplied 'brown wire',

jumper wire is in place between L1 and L2 and has been reseated.

Any ideas or did i get a dead board to go with my dead loco???

The board does look like a NOS unit....sealed in factory bags, instructions and box.

Many thanks.....help me get my Cab Forward going!

Borrowed pic of board.....

And my nice....but idle loco.....

Dave there should be 3 jumpers as you can see in your hijacked picture. IF so, than the transistor probably went bad for the forward relay.  Easy fix and can be turned around in a day if I had it.  Some times though the logic out put of the microcontroller is bad.  That is a slightly more extensive repair.  G
