I went to it with the 16yo daughter and the Wife.  The Wife went off an did some shopping in Martinsburg and Mt Hope.  The daughter went tot he show with me.  Picked up some controls stuff - TMCC and tried to buy some hoppers.  Lots of Lionel 027 and lots of pieces parts.  Fair amount of NOS K-Line rolling stock a little MTH.  Some HO and N.  Good prices to begin with and everybody but one opened with price is negotiable/make offer.  Unfortunately it was the guy with the hopper that didn't want to bargin.

Went to Mrs. Yoders' for breakfast and Amish Door for dinner.

All in all, other than my daughter expressing a fondness for SP and F type deisel a stellar outing.

Well worth the two and a half hour drive for me. Picked up an old Atlas two rail F unit for $45.00 that had been test run only, a two rail General Models NW2 for $125, some static grass, several bottles of Floquil for a buck a bottle, and some building flats from an Akron vendor. Always get a kick watching the Amish buy and sell model trains. Show opened at 10 AM I got there at 10:20 and still had to wait fifteen minutes in line to get in.  I heard that the place stayed crowded till after 3:00 PM .   Doug

The show is a two hour drive for me. Its a big show and is worth trying atleast once every other year. As I model three different scales, this year I found one thing for me, another for my dad. Sometimes the shows are a hit and miss. Being a youngian, I do not mind the drive out and I make the most out of the area when I am done with the shows. Whether its meeting up with friends or sit and watch the real trains go by in the area.
