Hi Guys, been awhile since I posted, but here goes. I have a Lionel horse transport car. Its the one with the horses bob in and out of four small openings as the car is moving. Inside is a long piece of plastic and at the ends are the horses heads. It sits on a shaft in side the car. I have tried the Lionel parts dept. When I put the number in its comes up No Find. I was wondering if you guys know of any parts person or where i could pick up this piece? Or maybe an idea of how to make one up. Other then getting a dirty one at a show and swap it out. The car is in great shape, hardly any wear on the wheels. Thank you I remain Ed P.

Which piece? You have described everthing you have, but not what is missing.
I can't imagine anything coming loose from this car except the pivot arm like this one, but unless somebody took it apart it should be trapped inside.
Its the piece inside, its the long plastic rod that has the horses heads attached. . Ed
Yes Rob, That's the piece I need. It was missing when the car was bought. Didn't notice that some one glued four horses heads at the openings. It was in the box, when purchased. Ed
It's going to be cheaper to buy an entire car at auction or swap/meet/show and sell/scrounge the parts you don't need.
@Ed Powers when you get the correct part, you should sneak into the seller's house at night, cover his hands in glue, and leave all four horses' heads on his bed sheets
Bill at S&W Parts appears to have what you need. Give him a call Tuesday or email him.

Thank you Bill. I will call him on Tuesday. Ed .P.
Bill recently had a fire. About 90 to 95 percent of his parts destroyed. Please be patience if you don't hear back from him. He's trying to deal with the necessities of life right now.
That's terrible I enjoyed dealing with him...….and will again when he gets back up and going.
