I was able to find an old thread I posted in the for sale forum. I was able to update the post. My question is.....Can I repost it to the for sale forum. I understand that I cant keep bumping to the top, but this post was on the for sale forum 6 months ago.

As far as I know, you can't. You have to completely reconstruct your post.
Sure, copy and paste the text into a new thread. Done.
Copy and paste new. Delete old one.
You can not copy and paste the pictures You have to reattach them Copy and paste the text into a new ad
Sounds like something that would be appreciated if it were made easier, no?

Yes, definitely
I actually just read that today. However, it doesn't say exactly how to do it. Doing a repost with a lot of pictures would take time, but then again if you're trying to sell something you do have a vested interest.
Maybe the extra effort is to help slow down folks that relist every week, so others have an opportunity .
There are still members that post * sold * on an ad instead of deleting it altogether. With no replies permitted . You can delete a FS or WTB ad at any time, so other ads can move up.

Yes exactly. I did not see a way to Bump to the top. I certainly understand that OGR doesnt want everyone bumping to the top. I was just trying to bump to the top for items I had for sale to deliver to York. The thread I wanted to bump is 6 months old. I just rebuilt the entire thread and posted to the Buy sell forum. It took me over 45 minutes. What a pain. Wish there was a better way.
If you create a new post with a link to the old post, it will be deleted. Ask me how I know.
Copying and pasting text is easy, reloading and organizing the pictures is not.

Actually, all four of these answers are incorrect.
If you want to re-post something containing both text and images, you have to copy and paste the underlying CODE that actually builds the post, not just the text and images.
Here's how to do that...
- Click to open the EDIT WINDOW for the post you want to copy.
- Click on the CODE icon (last icon at the right end of the tools)
That will reveal the html code that builds the post. It will look something like this:<p>Actually, all four of these answers are incorrect.</p>
<p>If you want to re-post something containing both text and images, you have to copy and paste the underlying <em><strong>CODE</strong></em> that actually builds the post, not just the text and images. Here's how to do that...</p>

- Press <CNTRL-A> to highlight all the code in your post.
- Press <CNTRL-C> to copy the code to the clipboard.
- Start your new post.
- Before you type anything, once again click on the CODE icon
- Press <CNTRL-V> to paste the code into your new post.
- Click OK.
You have now re-created your original post exactly the way you originally authored it. You can now edit it as you need to before you post it.

Rich - that’s for a PC, right? Is there an analogous procedure for an iPad? Thanks.
You can use this procedure on ANY device. The commands for copy and paste may be different, but that's it.
I use one of these with my Ipad. Makes the Copy and Paste commands the same as on a MAC keyboard.
