Most browsers have a bookmark feature that you just click on and "save" the link.
If you'd like a shortcut to the topic...
Look at the top of your browser window, there's the address of the topic. Copy that text.
Right click on a clear space on your desktop or in a folder of your choice, you'll see this.
Pick New and then Shortcut.
The shortcut window opens up, paste the top URL you previously copied into the window.
Click next and type in the description you'd like to appear for this shortcut.
Click finish and you have save the shortcut to the topic.
Bookmark it in your browser. Or you can copy and paste it to MS Word and paste it with left most paste option that will save pictures too, the save them to a OGR folder your create.

Or you could just print to pdf and save as whatever you want to name it to wherever you want.
A browser bookmark is by far the easiest way to do this.
In Firefox, just click on Bookmarks, then choose "Bookmark Current Tab." From there you can choose to put it wherever you want within your bookmarks, and name it with a descriptive name. Easy!
You can make folders within your bookmarks, just like you can anywhere on your computer. Make a folder called "OGR Forum Favorites" or something similar. Then when you choose to bookmark a topic, put it in that folder and give it a descriptive name. In some browsers (MS Edge, for example) they refer to these saved links as "Favorites."
The process that Gunrunner described places a a link on your desktop. If you want to do that, that's fine, but the process is more complicated than just making a bookmark within the browser. If you save a LOT of bookmarks, it can also make the desktop a bit crowded.
The process that MWB suggested - saving the thread to a PDF - saves a STATIC version of the thread. If new posts get added AFTER you make the PDF file, you won't see them in your PDF file. The Bookmark method is much easier and saves a DYNAMIC link to the thread. In other words, if new posts get added AFTER you make your bookmark, you WILL see them.
I use the Like/Heart icon on the first post in the thread.
I have found that the Like icon in the first post in a thread adds an entry in the "Reactions" list in my profile (with the topic's title). This way I have a link to the thread saved in my profile and I do not need access to the browser/device on which the link was saved.
In my experience when the Like icon is used on any of the other posts in the thread, it sends a Like to the poster but does not add an entry into my Reactions list.

Thanks Calvin never knew how that worked!
This forum has a lot of good features, unfortunately a lot of them seem hard to discover.
I have a folder in my browser bookmarks where I save threads I want to keep track of.
