Calling all those TMCC Crane/ Boom Car owners........do you keep it on a siding and just off load?
Do ya park it in the middle fork of three parallel sidings and off load from one car then swing across to the other to load?

I'll be honest with you. I bought my NYC crane at York in 2006, brought it home. It worked great, & have never used it again.
Mine is at a wreck site and visitors have the opportunity to rerail a car it is sort of an active diorama.
Several people have told me that it is their favorite Lionel operating accessory. I have considered getting one but never found one in a favorite road name.

Mine stay's safely on one of my train shelves until I put it into service loading and unloading either from a gondola or trackside.
I have them on pre-order. Plans are to re-rail rolling stock and offload heavy equipment with the crane. I ordered a DT&I crane and MOW boom car from the recent catalog.
Some time ago, a forum member posted an add-on that he hooked up to his crane. It was a brass clamshell bucket that allowed for lifting logs. This is something that I want on my crane, since I am a fan of and have several log cars. I found a different brand clamshell that will be added to mine.
