I liked the idea of the car and got the add-on car from the LCCA(?). As for the set, I didn't get it even though my focus is BNSF and heritage roads. I thought it was too much fantasy. I MIGHT have been able to get it if the engine was painted with a somewhat believable road number instead of 32 degrees.
I have the set and love the scheme. I can't wait to have the room to run it. I also have added on to the set with a extra engine, 6 extra sound cars, 6 extra smoke cars, 1 extra caboose, 8 of the LCCA reefers, 1 TTOS reefer and 6 Bowser Ice Cold Express 53' RoadRailers.
The extra set cars I purchased at Lionel's open house at their service center last year they were a bargain at $30 each I do not know if they work or not but at the price I could not go wrong. The extra engine, LCCA cars and the 1st Bowser car I got off of ebay. I just like making long trains of what I like.
Wow, I'd love to see a video of that train.
The cars that Paul got at the Lionel open house in NC were likely "refurbed" models, since the set was riddled with sloppy labor issues and lots of customer returns/exchanges. $30/car sounds sweet though... Tough to go wrong. For awhile, the LCCA car was going for $100-$125 on eBay.
