This is mine and it really, really is an electric railroad. How many people have one? Don

Wow … that looks cool! Beautiful!
How about some details about your layout? Or, more photos?
Thanks, Jim
I love electric trains. Especially the big ones. At present I have an experimental layout with catenary. Hopefully, I will get to build a permanent layout soon. I plan to have live catenary on it also.
This is what I have at the moment.
Great attraction for spider webs, how do you keep them out?

The way I keep them off the layout is with a LED night light and a sticky pad. Keep the light about 6 inches from the pad. When the basement is dark their attracted to the light. Beautiful rock work SCALE RAIL.

Hi Don
The best thing to do is to go to my youtube channel , Johnnie Walker Standard Gauge Trains . I have approximately 40 videos of my trains and train projects. The very first video I did was my intro to the standard gauge catenary called Standard Gauge Trolley. I didn't really know what I was doing filming my first video so please be patient, I had the trolley going around at a ridiculous speed. I hope this helps you in seeing what I have done.
Thanks for posting a photo of Blue and for asking about my catenary layout. My name really is Johnnie Walker and I do have a VERY small amount of Blue left. I'm more of a single malt guy.
Working on it, Don. I have my stash of HO Marklin overhead ready to go, inspired by yours and Marty Fitzhenry's great layouts. I always like to tease my railroad modelling friends about their steam and diesel locomotives containing electric motors. All you have to do is hold up something with a pantograph and say, "Now this - this is a 'live electric' locomotive, y'know..."
Wow looks great! I'd like to see a Vision line GG1 run under catenary power!
Lots of work there, Don! You reminded me that somewhere in these forum walls is a discussion of the Philadelphia train club that modeled a large section of the Philadelphia trolley system.
The amount of solder joints for the catenary would have made me crazy building it.
I think that the Cherry Valley club in NJ may have some.
Title the post "Anyone run live catenary" - it may attract some the great modelers.
Well Done!
