My first job at GE was in the Everett plant; I enjoyed dropping in to Charlie's store. I remember my amusement at my first visit, walking through the beauty parlor to reach that tiny counter at the back of the shop.
Everett was my first visit and first time meeting Charlie when I went down to the store with Eddie G my good friend who owned a train store back then and was picking up more "stock" ----time does fly! That was where it all started.
I remember visiting Charlie's "train store"/beauty parlor in 1979. Bought a like-new 746 Berkshire and a (then) new Penn GG1 from him. I thought this shop was in Revere.
