So the question in the subject came to mind yesterday as I was running trains on what is the first section I started with on my now 21 year old section of my layout. Now while it obviously has changed for the better throughout the years there are a few aspects that I refuse to change. That being of a farm. A farm that much like in real life seems to eventually get taken over and built on. Something that I did consider a few years ago to replace with a city. But I couldn't bring myself to do it. So it remains.
With that another thing that has been part of my layout since day one was an eight car Santa Fe, k-line streamline passenger set that has remained on its outer line for a whopping twenty plus years now. Now while they have remained there I have upgraded the Original ABA k-line units to the Mth PS units, then upgraded the original PS1 unit to a PS2 and finally now to a PS3 unit.
Anyway what is your long time layout or consist story ?
