At my local train club I have a Lionel t1 that does not run in command and can only run in conventional mode. The club is using a Lionel cab1 system. I brought this locomotive home and ran it on my layout with a cab2 system and it worked perfectly fine. I am going to take my legacy cab2 system and tie it in with my clubs cab1 system. The club right now has 1 Lionel legacy cab1 base and 3 Lionel legacy power masters. How do I tie my cab2 in with my clubs cab1 systeam. The thing is my club is using legacy power masters and not tmcc power masters. Would I need to have a bridge to connect it.

You need a Powermaster Bridge, no longer produced, but some may be available from some of the larger Lionel dealers. I have five TMCC Powermasters (5 separate  lines and 32 switches) and the Bridge has allowed me to integrate  TMCC components with Legacy and save the cost of having to purchase five Legacy Powermasters.  If you have the Bridge, you will be able to use your CAB 1 to run your locomotives conventionally, but it will not operate Legacy  or TMCC locos, switches or accessories, on a Legacy powered layout.   Your best bet, if you  are fortunate enough to get a Bridge, would be  to  buy a CAB 1L.  Then you will be able to run Legacy, TMCC engines, and your conventional locos.   The Powermaster Bridge was produced by Lionel for about five years (2008-13 est).  It cost $49.95.  Quite a saving to those of us with extensive TMCC/Conventional layouts.
