Thanks Alex, that does help a lot of guys. But it seems to me that if you have something to sell, why make it hard for the potential buyers to contact you?

So many guys like to put in their ads: "email in profile" as if it was some kind of status symbol. Why not just list your email in the ad? By posting: "email in profile" you are limiting your sales to Forum members only. Now if that is your choice and what you want to do, that's fine. Personally if I have something to sell, does not bother me if the many guys who watch this forum, but are not members and thus cannot access my profile; want to buy the article listed for sale, that's fine with me. Open up your sales to the whole train buying community, not just forum members! Only takes a few more keystrokes to list your email address in the ad.

There is no end of sources the spoofer draw from.  AOL accts are no more vulnerable than any other these days. Most of the time when you are "Hacked" its either just an email address that appears to be yours but sent out by another, a  or (less likely) your email password was captured by a piece of spyware on your machine.
