The guy that helped me with Lou's painting is Gil Bennett.

Yes Petera I’ve seen that! I have no idea how much these would be worth. They certainly seem unique - so I don’t know if they would be more or less than a typical value for other paintings that typically depict a particular locomotive scene like so many of his paintings.
I have no idea how best to get these appraised.
Call Gil!
Very nice!
Speaking of Howard Fogg: Visit www.foggprints.com to enjoy a collection of his paintings representing Alco Diesel locomotives the world over?
After you've viewed the collection, which one is your favorite?
Anyone happen to know if Fogg ever engaged in model railroading when he wasn't busy painting?
This is a Fogg scene from a Christmas card we received when I was young. It made enough of an impression that my Dad kept it and all these years later, we still have it.
He was a avid HO Modeler. I remember back in the day (80's) when I was working at Caboose Hobbies in Denver, He would come in now and then and purchase an HO brass engine.
Hi everyone,
I've spoken to a few of you via email as I had posted something in the wrong forum and was directed here instead. Everyone I've spoken with thus far has been extremely helpful. I'm posting in regards to a painting that i've recently acquired. It's a painting by Howard Fogg, titled 'Sunrise on a Domeliner'. I think it could be an original and was inquiring to see if anyone had any recommendations on where to get it authenticated or appraised. I've looked into a few options but came across this website so I thought i'd start here. The painting is absolutely stunning and i'm so enthused to see so much appreciation for his art. Any and all help is greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time. (I wasn't sure what the rules were for posting a picture of it)
Kind regards,
Megan Melton
