GG-1s are part of the undelivered container and now part of the O-Line Reproductions line and we will have the same product as Pat. The RMT product will include about 40 Sku's like Beefs and many other items. Both lists will be on our web site as soon as our IT Dept. Gets done with our current web site upgrade. You can see the new changes as they add them, so keep you eyes on the site or make sure you are signed up to "like" on our Facebook page,

I get the O line reproductions thing but I thought only RMT Direct sold RMT products. How are you selling these? Thanks.
why call them rmt when the box states o line reproductions?
Big Rail, these are two different companies. We are selling both. RMT does not sell to retailers but we acquired these items legally. I can't go into the details but these were Walters products and we are now blowing them out.
Big dodge trains, the RMT are in their boxes and the O Line are in theirs. They all came from the same factory in China.

Some days I wonder how true this is for MANY products we get today. Same factory... just different boxes depending upon who's paying the shipping costs to IMPORT them to the U.S.

Is it just me or am I off base. It seems like some people are glad RMT is on the ropes. I've talked to Walter a number of times and think he's a very nice and hard working guy. A good deal isn't that important if it's putting someone out of business. Don

This forum often comes across as sharks circling the waters waiting for a victim to pounce on so everyone can come in and claim how horrible the business was or how they knew how to run it better.
I just ignore it, and sometimes have fun with it by adding goofy, yet serious sounding rumors to the mix and watch people go apoplectic. Like shooting fish in a barrel. Or, Pavlovian. The people who I predict will comment, do. 
That's why a bit back I, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, suggested Rich add a New sub forum called "Rumors, Speculations, and Wannabe CEO's" 
For me, it's simply entertainment to see how wrapped around the axle some get over a hobby.
OK dang it... your high pressure sales tactics left me no option but to order something LOL!

From the business' perspective, if that deal means making an otherwise inevitable closure of their business a bit less painless (better to go out clearing out the baggage versus closing up while being left with it).

I don't see it so much as glee; more along the lines of expressing the opinion that the concerned party may be, whether he intends it this way or not, reaping what he sows by demonstrating past examples (like the K-Line references).
Are any of these available in-store?

No privately held entity has any obligation to advertise the health and or welfare of their business. Their obligations are to manufacture product and ship the advertised product in the stated condition to the purchaser in the advertised time frame, the end.
If a company makes a good product, gets it to the customer in good condition and on time then a company will survive the ups and downs of society. If they miss just one step, they are nailing their own coffin shut.
As far as a good deal putting someone else out of business... lol if the deal is so good why did the primary not offer it? If another entity has the power to buy product, cash on the barrel head, and they can sell it at a lower rate through what ever business practice they have established then more power to them. Capitalism 101. Pony up and play with the big dogs or crawl under the porch with the puppies.

No one, not me anyway, is implying that Walter is REQUIRED to disclose what the overall state of his business is. Did I ever say he was?
No, the original point was that when an environment begins to brew within your own customer base that can be detrimental to your business, it's not business-savvy to stay silent on the matter, short of legal requirements to do so. It can be just as simple as "Business XYZ has seen a lot of rumors being generated about us and we're here to set the record straight/hope to put some of those rumors to rest..." fill in the rest with what you are willing or are legally permitted to disclose.
It's just good, common sense.

LOL I am sure you have heard of 'Black Friday'... Now there is a feeding frenzy not even related to us train guys. An entire segment of the buying public that has been waiting 364 days to get it 'el cheapo'...

Yes, these products are available IN our store. If they are in stock on the website, we have them in thew store.
Some items are sold out already. I can check the inventory here on the backend and they are selling fast! This maybe the last time you will see these items again!
