...but I don't care cause the new Lionel catalog is only a few weeks away and the excitement is killing me. One of the benefits of being an adult is you can make Christmas come more than once a year. New catalogs and York are like Christmas to me. BigRail

I agree. My trains are like my kids... Sometimes I think of selling a few to make room but I always end up keeping them...

Many, many years ago I had a very dear friend. He's long gone, bless his soul. I truely enjoyed visiting his home as a child. He enjoyed having his Christmas tree up 24/7, 365. His Std Gauge trains circled the tree every day of the year. His layout also had the Christmas theme. His reasoning behind it all was he enjoyed the holiday season. The love and kindness of yesteryears. I remember the Sears & Roebuck, Montgomery Ward, and JC Penney catalogs on the coffee table for all to see. These were the wish books that many remember. On the same table was the newest Lionel Catalogs of sixty plus years ago. We all remember the happy times and these do include the Lionel Catalogs.
Its about joy from my perspective. You get what you like, sell or give away what you don't like. Time changes your opinion. But if its Milwaukee Road, Northern Pacific, Montana Rail Link, or Burlington Northern....IT'S STAYING!!!
