There is a factory behind where I'm standing and they have 2 large bright lights that face the track to light it up nicely for the parking lot and get the tracks as well.
Awww, she PRETTY!
That is a darn cool paint scheme! Makes me glad heritage units exist because it's really cool to see this kind of thing.
Now all CSX needs is a steam program like NS had and UP has. Even if it is just pulling the business train and no public rides. The new CPKC is doing something like that next year with the Empress 2816. It hadn't run in over 10 years, since before E. Hunter Harrison became CEO of CP and said that he hated steam engines. Current CEO Keith Creel though must almost be like a Bob Claytor or Wick Moorman. He is actually bringing the 2816 back and running it from Canada to Mexico next April to celebrate the merger with Kansas City Southern.
Ya know... If they are going to paint all of these cool heritage units, they should at least slow down so we can get some good views.
Great Catch. I saw the B&O heritage unit last week on vacation to the Great Allegany Passage, but it went by so fast I could not even get my phone out of my pocket before it was gone.
