Hey all!

So this issue just started to crop up for me and I'm not sure why...

I recently finished applying plaster cloth to all of my built up terrain on my new layout and have since applied the track back to my layout to make sure everything still runs smoothly, etc. Since reapplying everything, there has seemed to be a problem area that crops up now on the layout and I can't quite figure it out.

It happens on an O-31 realtrax switch that takes one section of track to a few sidings and the other section completes the overall "run" of the layout.

When I run the Imperial Big Boy that I have over that switch in the direction that completes the layouts "circuit", if you will, the engine somehow trips up something on the switch and it causes the circuit breaker on my transformer to throw. It happens every time. The circuit breaker does not throw when the switch is thrown in the direction of the sidings, where I park the engine.

I also now have an Imperial Daylight that I've been running and that engine runs across the switch just fine in both directions. I will say, however, that I can hear some faint electrical mayhem on the tracks when the Daylight crosses the switch. No sparks though.

Just to see if I could troubleshoot, I swapped out that switch for another O-31 realtrax switch and it does the exact same thing =/. Unfortunately, due to the limited amount of space that I have to work with within the mountain/tunnel where the switch is located, I cannot quite figure out what is happening... I really hope I can try and fix whatever is happening so that I don't have to rip up that part of the layout and start all over again

This didn't happen before I took off most of the track to apply the plaster cloth. In fact, I had the Big Boy and 4 passenger cars gliding through that switch with absolutely no problems at all before I started building up the terrain.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Is it possible that some track isn't connected correctly somewhere and it may be causing this? I only have one power drop for the whole layout at the moment, even though I should have three, so I'm not sure if that is the reason, or if it is something else... (FYI: I did notice that the power drop stationed at the top of my layout, and thus the power to the whole top of the mountain on the layout, was out unless I connected the 30" straight section up properly to the O-31 switch where the incline starts under that overpass if that helps with anything.)

I have some poorly lit pictures attached that kind of show you all where all of this is happening. I also have a 3 minute video that I'm uploading to my YouTube channel that shows the Big Boy gliding through that section of track under the overpass two different times during the pre-plaster phase of my layout. I'll link this once it's done uploading.
