I am in search of these mini connectors with leads, 2 or 3 wire. They work great because they can be put together and taken apart very easily without tools. Looking for the manufacturer or a good web source.

Just break off however many pins you want, solder wire on, and heatshrink.
Thank you Chuck. That is an option if I can't find these. I want to get down as small as I can. I like your idea though. i will order some of those to have on hand.
Dave, the connector you pictured is made by Miniatronics. They are a little expensive, but really nice. They make 2, 3 and 4 pin versions. I use quiet a few of them in locomotive modifications.

Bob is right, that's the Miniatronics, I use them a lot. Spendy, but they're the smallest connector sets I've found.
Victory! Thank God for this forum. Thank you guys.
Wow on the price. I had to smile at the warning considering the site these are being discussed:

Yep, expensive little buggers, but they're the only game in town for connectors that size that I've found.
Yes expensive, but I needed them. The real kicker is $10.00 minimum shipping. So my order total came to $24.95 for a set of the 2 prong.
Funny- I just bought the same harnesses for a steam engine. I found a vendor on Amazon who offered free shipping. lessened the pain slightly.

Dave, do you plan to use these as tethers or connectors to use inside of something? For the latter there are many more options for a fraction of the cost of the minitronics shown above.
Pete
You're certainly right Pete, lots of options for inside connections. I only use these for between units.
I'm using them between A and B units to run power back to the tail end A unit coupler from the lead A unit, because I have a faulty slave board in the tail a unit. There is a plug in the lead A unit for rear coupler operation that wasn't being used, so I'm taking advantage of that.
The two prong pairs come in a 2 unit pack from Minatronics for $14.95 plus S+H equals $24.95, about $12.48 a set. Amazon is $16.30 a set with free shipping.
