Does anyone carry a separate rider on their homeowners insurance to cover their trains in case of theft , fire, or other unforeseen circumstances?

Yes I use American Collectors Insurance and feel its worth every penny to protect the investment in my toys so that if disaster arose it could be replaced. I have a large RR with custom everything and collection and have 250,000 policy and it costs 750.00 per year.

I was looking at the ad in the TCA paper booklet they send us about Peerless Insurance Collector Program. The price seems good, but I am anxious to see what others are using.
My agent recommended against Peerless, I had my old Jag insured with American Collector's Insurance for a very good price.
There are numerous threads discussing obtaining insurance for trains. John's agent aside, most folks who have filed a claim with the TCA insurance program report being happy with the outcome.
I have a small separate rider on my homeowner's policy but also carry insurance through the TCA program.
I use the one from TCA. Don't need an inventory list.
