Integrating DCS WIU or Explorer with Lionel Legacy

Has anyone out there tried integrating just the MTH DCS WIU or Explorer with an existing Lionel Legacy setup. I have an existing Lionel Legacy setup and am looking for the ability to control a PS3 loco that I just picked up. Id like to be able to use all the features of the PS3 loco via the Premium App.

The WIU won't function stand-alone to control DCS locomotives, it must be connected to the TIU. The WIU just provides a smart device interface to use the TIU.

I have that setup with Legacy with the Lionel WiFi and the MTH WIU connected to my TIU.
