Is this Western Maryland car rare ?

Doug, That car looks to be a special order by the Community Model Railroad Club in Frostburg, Maryland.  The car number tells me they did that run in 2015.  I have taken part in each of their special run fundraisers since 2016 or 2017.  They do one every year except this year because of the uncertainty of MTH, I believe.  I may be mistaken, but I believe that special runs I participated in were of around 200 cars made, I can't say for sure.  So yes, it is pretty rare.  You could look up the club's contact information and ask them how rare.

It sold for $44.95 in Oct. 2015, if this helps with a price.

Doug, Inquiring minds want to know.  Did you buy the car??? 

MTH's MOQ for custom runs has traditionally been 256 units.  If that was the number of units run, it would put in the same category or rarity of any of the MTH built TCA Convention Cars done over the years which typically have been between the minimum number and 350 units.

Mark,  yes I bought it a few years ago.  However a forum member has offered to help me out and give it a good home.

Oh, now I see, Doug!  You were working up a price for a buyer.  Every O gauge car needs a good home!!
