So, I have a friend at work  (here in Maine) who has a lot of the same hobbies and interest that I have. The cool thing about that is once in a while I stop by his office and chat, and share model railroad interest. So we share cool photos from web sources, show and tell train stuff, discussions of many a topic, O scale and O Gage toy trains inclusive. So, I stopped in with coffee in hand just after my departmental a.m. report not to go on rounds yet.

George was very excited to show me a picture of his anticipated  new acquisition on his cell phone. An O scale Atlas SW 9 in B&M vintage markings, red stripes around nose (like classic B&M /MEC days). So I immediately looked at the engine and background and said, "Wait a minute, I Know this engine, I recognize the background building flats. That is Nick B's engine In Florida! " Silence for a moment , some grimace, a lot off staring in wonderment, then sudden laughing out loud! "George, That's the one I sold Nick B. Five +years ago!"

I ran into him at work that day multiple times we just couldn't believe this happened! Subject of a lot of laughing. Naturally, Nick was emailed with a picture of me laughing in his office. I have known Nick for years and had met him on multiple forums in the past.

So, I will be seeing my old engine at work probably next week!

George plans to  Proto 48 it ( drop in fine scale wheels etc.) as that is what he is into at home, unless of course I can talk him out of it!

You can't make this stuff up! Wild huh?

Here's another unusual coincidence that happened today.

my wife and I went out to lunch and afterwards we looked for a reliable Christmas tree stand. Note when you ask someone up here for a tree stand they send you to a hunting store! Lol. But that's not related to this today.

after striking out a couple of times, we stopped by a big box store where we had a gift card. Out of our car walking to the store is a medical colleague I know and work with. Always happy to see him. Hey man, fancy meeting you here. Note: we are standing in the parking lot. So, Dr. M says I am here to return this thing as my wife just bought one whil you and I were at work! It's a heavy duty Christmas tree stand!   What ? You are returning it?you want it? It's yours... So it came home with us!  Can't make this stuff up. Right place right time, right friend.
