Hi GUYZ,

Yesterday I lubed and oiled my JLC BB and put about 15 drops of smoke fluid in the stack and turned on the smoke unit.  To my surprise I saw the smoke rise slowly but no fan seemed like it was on.  Looked like a fog coming out of the stack.  I went to the Lionel replacement parts site put in the number and saw that the smoke units for the JLC BB are not available.  Can I use a TSA smoke unit, or use the small motor from the TSA unit to repair this problem?  Or can I get a Super Chuffer unit and put it in the JLC BB?  Any other options?  Thank you in advance.

I opened u[p the BB and the motor was fine and also the element was good too.  I flipped over the batting and reassembled.  Tested the motor was turning and when it is in motion this is a puffer with aid of the motor.  All was working fine.  I think when I flipped over the engine on the cradle maybe some batting came and covered the fan opening or the rubber divider between the motor and the well had slipped. Works now thanks guyz for the input.
