Hi guys, been  away from the forum for about 3 weeks and have to say it sure looks like everyone is having a blast with there trains and layouts! I hope to get back into the train room soon and be able to post some photos also! Its been busy here with other projects, but it appears that the big ones are done and I will have time to get back to what I enjoy!

Everyone have a great week and find time for some more fun on your layout and with your trains!

Some pics taken over the last few weeks.  Fun times!! IMG_2757IMG_2916IMG_2207

As a youngin' I frequented the original Jahn's location in Queens, NY.  They closed only about 10 years ago.

The antique Nickelodeon in the back (that still worked), decades of initial and messages carved in the wood trim at the tables/booths, the Kitchen Sink desert, dates taken there, etc.

Great memories, thanks for jogging them with your pic

I got a fever and the only prescription is more beacon!!!

Love the beacon! There's something about moving lights. I grew up riding the PRR and Penn Central NW corridor, Philly to NYC, and I can remember seeing a mars light coming at me as I waited on the platform. It was so cool. I have decided I need an engine with a Mars light to pull passenger trains. I just have to figure out what it could be. I think the gg-1 was the most common engine back then. Not sure if any models have mars lights. It could also have been an Alco Pa 1. The Railking Alco PRR I have does not have a Mars light--someday I may figure out how to add one (meaning which tech to send it to to add one! :-)

Love some of these photos!!!

anyways, the lady in the house absolutely loves Mickey Mouse. So I had to get her a prize. She has been asking for a train car and this is perfect! In the process on building the layout. Just got one lockon powering this thing but wiring happens soon then on to scenery! However it’s always important to be able to run trains!
