Has anyone ever replaced a mars light on this WP Gs-6? After removing the shell, I found that the bulb is encased in the shell. This is a brand new engine, but unfortunately age gets to everyone. I am hesitant to snap off the lamp, figured I’d come here first.

K-line mars lights are just 2 grain of wheat bulbs in a housing it is unlikely that they need replacing in a new unit. It is probably the circuit board that lights them alternately that is the problem. Have you checked if power is going to the lights?
Can not speak to that specific K-line model, but on the prototype that would not be a Mars light. Just a steady bruning head light.
